Syd’s on Graham

Can my wedding party come to Syd’s?

Yes.  Just be mindful that we have limited space in our waiting area.  We ask that wedding parties respect the other clients receiving services.

Can your stylists travel to my wedding/prep site?

It is easiest for us to work at Syd’s on Graham (our tools are set up and we have adjustable styling chairs). But YES, we can travel! Typically there is an additional charge of $100 for us to travel to you.  This fee can vary depending on mileage, time to set up and size of wedding party.

I’m the bride.  Can I have a trial run?

Yes.  This is especially encouraged if you are not a regular client of the shop.  There is a charge for the stylist’s time for updos trails.  If you already see someone at Syd’s... you’ve probably already discussed your wedding hair with your stylist.  A trial run for regular clients can often be added on to an existing service prior to your wedding.

Prices start at $75 for updos, how will I know the exact cost?

Prices vary depending on hair length, hair density, hair texture and complexity of styling.  More time consuming or involved updos cost more. “Half-up” and “updos” cost the same because the entire head of hair is prepped and set prior to pinning.  For an exact price consult with a stylist.

What is bridal party etiquette for payment?

Prior to your wedding day please let your bridal party know your payment arrangements.  Some bridal parties each pay for their own hair styling.  Sometimes the bride (and her family) pay for the entire group’s styling and gratuity.  Sometimes the styling is paid for by the bride’s family and each attendant is expected to tip their stylists.  To avoid an awkward situation, please discuss this with your party prior to your wedding day.

What should we wear?

Button-up blouses, shirts or dresses that can be removed without pulling it over your head.  You don’t want to mess up your hair that early in the day!

What should we do with our hair that day?

Please arrive with dry, clean hair.  It can be shampooed the night before but upstyles work best on “lived-in” hair.  The stylists will apply product, prep, and set your hair before pinning your hair up.
